Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chunks or chips
- Flaky sea salt for topping
Instructions
- Brown butter in a saucepan, then let cool slightly.
- Mix brown butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
- Fold dry ingredients into wet until just combined.
- Fold in most of the chocolate chunks, saving some for topping.
- Scoop dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets.
- Press extra chocolate chunks on top of each dough ball.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes.
